Eskview Kindergarten

Welcome to Eskview Kindergarten

Eskview Kindergarten (located in the Bay View township) encompasses both local and rural surrounding districts and operates within a peaceful, positive environment which supports and stimulates children’s curiosity, wonder and awe in the world around them.

Our kindergarten acknowledges the importance of fostering warm, reciprocal relationships, both with the children and their families, and the vibrant local community. Our strong links between the community, families and the kindergartens are maintained though our regular community events, events which really highlight the notion as this is a place of belonging – this is our place.

We welcome interested families to visit us here at Eskview Kindergarten.

Testimonial:

We have two girls who have attended Eskview Kindergarten from 2013 to present and we have found the time they have spent there to be enjoyable, worthwhile and a crucial part of their development. Eskview kindergarten clearly invests in the children who attend to help them prepare for future success. Te Whāriki, the foundation of the Early Learning Program at the Kindergarten supports the children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. This is evident in many of the play and learning opportunities at the Kindergarten from outdoor play, arts, crafts gardening and the many differing activities set out each day for the children to explore.

We have found that our two girls are happy to attend sessions at the Kindergarten. They are confident to share their likes and experiences with the teachers proving to us that they feel safe and supported in their learning environment, and their ideas are highly valued.  Staff are very warm and approachable, providing support to parents by making the time to discuss any matters raised. Eskview Kindergarten has been delovoping their links with local schools and increased involvement with these schools. This has clearly aided in providing a smooth transition from Kindergarten to school. It enables the children to become familiar with the school environment, teachers and other students before they attend, building excitement for this special time in their lives.
