About Us

The Napier Kindergarten Association is an incorporated society which oversees the management of 15 Kindergartens in Napier, Wairoa and Haumoana, delivering early childhood education to 2 to 5 year olds as well as the Parent as First Teachers (PAFT) program for Napier and Hastings, delivering in home parent education for 0 to 3 year olds.

We have a Governance Board, which include community, parent and staff representatives, responsible for setting policy and strategic direction. The Board employs a General Manager to run the Association within the policies and guidelines set by the Board, to manage the staff and support the volunteer local committees by providing training and support to parents/whanau.

As a not for profit organisation our full financial resources are used to benefit our kindergartens and children, ensuring exceptional high quality early childhood education at the lowest possible cost to parents and caregivers.

We are registered as a Charitable entity under the Charities Act 2005 therefore donations received are eligible for a tax rebate.

Our Association is a member of New Zealand Kindergartens Inc (NZKI) which is the national voice of Kindergarten.
