Napier Kindergarten Association supports education for sustainability (EfS).  This means we aspire to offer educational programmes and operate our kindergartens in a sustainable manner.

In recent years our kindergartens have adopted a wide range of initiatives that reflect an empathy for the natural environment.  In May 2011 this has culminated in becoming an Association wide Enviro School under the nationwide Enviro Schools programme.  As an Association we support the values and ideals that are inherent in the Enviro Schools programme.  Ten of our kindergartens have made a commitment to being involved as Enviro Kindergartens. This will entail working with a trained facilitator, Girvan Roberts to identify individual projects they will work towards to enhance children’s understanding.
We recognise the need through our educational programmes to build awareness for the growing global issues facing future generations.
