Access Free Kindergarten
20 Hours ECE
From 1 July 2010 parents and caregivers of 3, 4 and 5 year old children can access up to 20 hours per week of free early childhood education.
At all of our kindergartens we have taken this initiative even further by subsidising the cost of attendance so that kindergarten will also be free for all 2 year olds.
The Association further subsidises costs for children aged 3, 4 and 5 years in respect of whom their full 20 hours ECE have been attested to us, so that no fees will be charged for any hours attended in excess of 20 hours a week (for example, your child attends for 28 hours per week, you attest 20 hours to us, there is no fee payable for the additional 8 hours).
Fee paying parents are also subsidised as the fee payable is less than the funding we lose because hours have been attested with another provider.
Our kindergartens do not charge optional charges or extra costs, all excursions are free.
So… Kindergartens will be free at the Napier Kindergarten Association if:
* Your child is 2.* Your child is an eligible 3, 4 or 5 year old and using their 20 hours ECE to cover their full attendance. * Your child is an eligible 3, 4 or 5 year old, they attend for more than 20 hours a week and you attest the full 20 hours ECE to us. How Do I Get My Free Hours?
Parents or caregivers of 3 or 4 year old children need to complete and return to your kindergarten an ECE Attestation Form. These forms are available from your Kindergarten.
