Bette Christie Kindergarten
Welcome To Bette Christie Kindergarten
Our kindergarten is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac within a 1 kilometre radius of 4 primary schools making us accessible for many families. We pride ourselves on the positive learning environment we provide for our children and families. Children are supported through a well-resourced programme which promotes creativity and independence. We are highly respectful of the important role each child’s whanau plays in their learning.
Bette Christie Philosophy:
View our full 2009 ERO report here. View our latest Kindergarten Newsletter hereOur children and their whanau are cared for and respected. Me tiaki me manaaki I a tatou tamariki me a tatou whanau hoki. We empower children to develop holistically through their strengths and interests. Na ta ratou kaha me ta ratou painga ka whakamanatia nga tamariki. Our Favourite 2009 ERO Comment: 'Highly respectful, unobtrusive and supportive interactions between staff and children and amongst adults are positive features of this kindergarten. Children are encouraged to take turns, share and make positive choices in their play. Partnerships with whanau: Parents are increasingly confident in the kindergarten environment, many often sharing in the celebration of their child’s learning by reading the individual profile and by viewing electronic photographs of the previous day’s learning. Teachers nurture warm and caring relationships with whanau, making time each day to share stories and anecdotes of the children’s day. These successful learning partnerships appropriately focus on working together to support each child develop as a capable and competent learner.'
Meet The Staff:
Testimonial: "We are proud parents of 2 lovely daughters attending Bette Christie kindergarten, it took us awhile to find the right place for our children but when meeting with the teachers we knew this was the place. We have had the honor not only knowing our children are in a safe and caring environment but getting to know the teachers, children and parents has been rewarding. There is much respect for all children who attend and ourselves, we see it as a great learning place for our girls." M.N Parent, March 2010 see more testimonialsContact Us:
