Riversdale KindergartenWelcome To Riversdale Kindergarten Riversdale Kindergarten is set in spacious park like grounds in Taradale, where children have the opportunity to explore and learn in the natural environment. Several large mature trees provide shade as well as the opportunity to learn about the natural rhythms of the seasons. The children are actively engaged in caring for the gardens, and tending a worm farm.
A playgroup operates every Wednesday morning from 9:00 – 11:00am. Children who have not yet started kindergarten can come along with their parent/caregiver and join in all the fun of our kindergarten session, at no cost. This enables children and their families to have a smooth transition into kindergarten.
After undertaking a 3 year ICT research project funded by the Ministry of Education, the teaching team skilfully interweave ICT into the programme. Children are able to use digital cameras and laptops to record their learning and teachers and children regularly make E-(electronic) books.
Riversdale Philosophy:
