Welcome To Riversdale Kindergarten

Riversdale Kindergarten is set in spacious park like grounds in Taradale, where children have the opportunity to explore and learn in the natural environment. Several large mature trees provide natural shade as well as the opportunity to learn about the natural rhythms of the seasons. We are proud to be an enviro-school. This allows the children to grow vegetables in our gardens, learn about waste reduction, composting and to tend for the worm farm and our pet chickens.
A playgroup operates every Wednesday morning from 9:00 – 11:00am. Children who have not yet started kindergarten can come along with their parent/caregiver and join in all the fun of our kindergarten session, at no cost. This enables children and their families to have a smooth transition into kindergarten.

“A feature of the programme is a focus on early mathematics. Teaching practices concentrate on everyday numeracy and other resources that underpin developing concepts, including puzzles. Many children in engage in sustained role play and creative activities.”
